Arcane Season 2 is coming, and here’s why you should watch Arcane.

Oh God! Arcane Season 2 teaser just arrived and I think I might go insane out of excitement. And what was that teaser music? I want that music on my playlist. I don’t know when last time I felt such rush and excitement for a movie or a show.

Arcane season 1 is probably among my top 3 favorite sci-fi series of all time. When I first finished watching it, I was shocked but I didn’t know how to feel about it. Probably because I had mostly watched superhero movies and sci-fi movies in which characters serve the plot. The characters are written in such a way that they lead the movie or the series in the desired direction and that’s why sometimes the character’s decisions feel out of place. Arcane, however, is a character driven sci-fi action drama. Characters’ decisions abruptly change the story and thus the story becomes highly unpredictable. You don’t get the tailored and expected goosebump-inducing moments; instead, you get highly nuanced, traumatic, dark, and unexpected turns that shake you from the core. When wild things started to happen in Arcane, I didn’t know how to feel. But when the series ended, I kept thinking about it and eventually I went back and watched the show again and again. And that’s how I was able to appreciate the marvel of the show. Seriously, there are no faults in this show. This is one of the few shows that I can call a masterpiece.

You can clearly see the amount of love, hard work and craft that was put into in the show. The animation is highly stylized and great, texture work is new and unique, the art design is phenomenal, the story structure is unique and amazing. The drama, the politics, the romance, the world-building everything feels real and genuine. They chose to portray so much in this show and they executed every single aspect of it perfectly.

There are some scenes that stand out in my mind- It is when Viktor tries out his new bio-mechanical legs on beach with a beautiful background of the sea, boats and the night sky filled with stars. He starts running and slowly picks up pace as the music soars. Or when we are first shown Piltover’s transformation because of the Hextech, or everything else in this show. It’s magical.

After watching the Season 2 teaser, I feel psyched, pumped and excited, and there is not much concern in my mind regarding the capability of the showrunners. The animation looks somehow more polished and cleaner.

And I’m hooked to that teaser soundtrack even if I just heard a snippet of it. The creators have confirmed that this will be the final story of Arcane, but they have said that they will explore other stories in this world. And honestly, I respect that. This show deserves an epic and emotional sendoff. And this way the story of Arcane earns its place in the list of one of the most original, immersive and masterful show of our time.

Thank you!
